What is your role at Berger HR Solutions, and what does it involve?

As a Consultant with Berger HR Solutions, I provide clients with HR advisory services and customized recruitment solutions. My role involves supporting organizations in building effective hiring strategies, improving employee relations, and enhancing overall workforce wellbeing and performance.

What experience do you bring to your role?

I bring extensive experience in Human Resources across both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining Berger HR Solutions, I served as the Human Resources Manager at an economic forecasting firm where I managed recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. I’ve supported supervisors and leadership teams with performance management, offboarding, and employee wellbeing initiatives. 

How has your past experience shaped your approach to HR consulting?

My background has equipped me with a strong understanding of how to align HR strategies with organizational goals. I’ve developed and implemented HR programs that foster collaboration, improve communication, and support leadership development. 

What areas of HR are you most passionate about?

I’m passionate about helping organizations create positive work environments through strategic planning and hands-on support. Working with clients and providing support and guidance through difficult situations is very fulfilling for me.  

What’s your educational background?

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from St. Cloud State University.

Who do you enjoy spending time with outside of work, and where do you call home?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and traveling to visit my two adult children, daughter and son. I also love hiking, biking, and discovering new areas, both locally and beyond. Moving to Western New York has given me plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, and I especially appreciate being close to Canada for quick getaways and new adventures.

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you? 

I grew up in Southern Minnesota and have lived in Texas, Indiana, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and abroad in England. These experiences have broadened my perspective and deepened my appreciation for diverse communities and cultures. 

What do you value outside of work?

Outside of work, I deeply value contributing to the well-being of others, especially through advocacy and support around mental health and substance use issues. I’m passionate about raising awareness and helping to reduce the stigma that often surrounds addiction and mental health challenges.
