What is your role at Berger HR Solutions, and what does it involve?

As a Senior HR Consultant at Berger HR Solutions, I provide clients with HR advisory services and tailored recruiting and talent solutions. My role involves partnering with organizations to address their unique HR needs and deliver strategic support that aligns with their business goals. I also work closely with business leaders to understand their talent needs and develop solutions that support their business objectives, including staff planning and creating goals to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

What experience do you bring to your role?

I bring over 15 years of HR leadership experience across diverse industries, including healthcare, government contracting, technology, and professional services. Throughout my career, I’ve built HR departments from the ground up, led large multi-state HR teams, and partnered with executives to design people-first strategies that drive business success. My expertise spans compliance, talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, compensation, and performance management.

How has your past experience shaped your approach to HR consulting?

My career has given me the opportunity to work in both established organizations and fast-paced startups, which taught me the importance of flexibility, creative problem-solving, and tailoring HR solutions to each organization’s unique needs. Having managed complex compliance requirements, led high-volume recruiting efforts, and guided leaders through sensitive employee matters, I approach consulting with a balance of strategic vision and practical, actionable solutions. I also enjoy translating workforce data into operational guidance – a skill that allows me to create people-focused programs that drive meaningful business outcomes.

What areas of HR are you most passionate about?

I’m especially passionate about creating inclusive and compliant workplaces, building HR strategies that support long-term business growth, and helping leaders navigate people challenges with confidence. I love working on talent acquisition, employee engagement, and compliance because when those pieces are done well, organizations are set up for lasting success.

What’s your educational background?

I hold a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from the University of New Mexico. I am also a Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP).

Who do you enjoy spending time with outside of work, and where do you call home?

I live in Ruidoso, New Mexico, and enjoy spending time with my husband, extended family, and friends in the beautiful mountain community I call home.

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?

I enjoy cooking and baking and volunteer for an organization that provides meals to local families in need.  

What do you value outside of work?

Outside of work, I value time with my family and friends, exploring our mountain town, volunteering, and working out.  I’ve ridden over 2,000 miles on my Peloton.
