Kristyn Berger, President

As Founder and President of Berger HR Solutions, Kristyn provides employers of all sizes with human resources and organization development solutions resulting in improved employee and organizational performance while minimizing employment risk.
Kristyn worked as a Human Resources professional in the financial services industry for over a decade before founding Berger HR Solutions. As the Vice President, Sr. Human Resources Business Partner for the Greater Washington Retail Market of M&T Bank, Kristyn partnered with senior business leaders to align people and programs with organizational business goals. Through her work experiences, she recognized a need for strategic Human Resources support among small to mid-sized business owners.
Kristyn has expertise in the areas of performance management, talent development, employee engagement, organization development, consultative employee relations, learning and development, executive managerial coaching and development and full cycle recruitment. She has worked with clients in banking and financial services, technology, professional services, non-profit, retail, construction, and the medical and healthcare industries.
Kristyn holds a Master’s of Business Administration in Organization Development from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the Pennsylvania State University.

As a Senior Consultant with Berger HR Solutions, Jennifer works with our team to provide employers with the Human Resources support and guidance they need to be successful.
Prior to Berger HR Solutions, Jennifer worked in the financial services industry for over 15 years, both in Retail Banking and in Human Resources. During her time as a Branch Manager at M&T Bank, Jennifer assisted both personal and commercial clients with identifying opportunities to strengthen their financial stability. Working closely with business owners in this capacity allowed Jennifer to gain familiarity with different industries and businesses of all sizes and to learn much about the many challenges business owners face on a daily basis, specifically as it relates to human resources.
As Vice President and Human Resources Business Partner Manager at M&T Bank, Jennifer worked closely with the senior management team of the Retail Branch Network to understand, protect and grow their most valuable asset—their people. Her primary responsibility was helping the leadership team get the most from their workforce through communication, support, training, recognition and performance management. She continues to provide this support to business owners in her current capacity.
Jennifer has expertise in communication, performance management, talent management, employee engagement and learning and development.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Columbia College.
Rebecca Zakheim, Senior Consultant

As a Senior Consultant with Berger HR Solutions, Rebecca provides tailored Human Resources strategies to increase efficiency across industry verticals and guide our clients to success.
Prior to Berger HR Solutions, Rebecca worked in Human Resources for over a decade in a wide range of industries including financial services, energy, IT, consumer goods and government. As a Human Resources Business Partner, Rebecca partnered with senior business leaders to support HR programs and people strategies in order to achieve business goals.
As a Learning and Development professional, Rebecca worked across four continents to run a company-wide 360 feedback program, launch a learning management system and implement training and development initiatives.
Rebecca has expertise in performance management, talent development, employee engagement, learning and development, training, compensation and full life cycle recruitment.
Rebecca holds a Master’s in Social Work from The University of Maryland, Baltimore and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Syracuse University.
Sheena Postenrieder, Consultant

As a Consultant for Berger HR Solutions, Sheena supports clients with HR advisory services and customized recruiting and talent solutions.
Prior to joining Berger HR Solutions, Sheena worked in Human Resources for over 13 years providing strategic and tactical support to federal government contractors including Sandia National Laboratories and GDIT. As a Sr. Human Resources Manager at GDIT, she partnered with operations leaders across the organization to understand their people and talent needs and develop creative solutions to support business objectives. She had responsibility for creation and administration of HR policy and program development for geographically diverse sites and numerous contracts, as well as start-up and staffing of new sites. She worked cooperatively with managers and program operations to create contract-specific goals and objectives to maximize employee productivity and management effectiveness.
Sheena’s experience includes developing and executing on talent acquisition processes and supporting full-cycle recruiting and on-boarding for a variety of professional and technical roles. She has a solid foundation of HR knowledge with over a decade of experience in employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training, and compliance. She is adept at translating workforce data to support the creation of people-related programs that drive engagement and influence business outcomes.
Sheena holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from the University of New Mexico. She is also a Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP).
Amy M. Walker, Consultant

As a Consultant with Berger HR Solutions, Amy leverages her extensive HR expertise to provide strategic HR advice to support clients in their business initiatives, while helping them mitigate risk.
Prior to joining Berger HR Solutions, Amy excelled in various critical HR positions supporting the financial services industry for over 30 years. As a Senior Employee Relations Specialist at M&T Bank, Amy interacted with all levels of leadership regarding legal compliance, complaint investigations, policy interpretation and application, performance management, terminations, and workforce restructures. In addition, Amy facilitated professional training, provided coaching, counseling and career development for both employees and leaders, participated in conflict resolution to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
As Vice President and Human Resources Business Partner at M&T Bank, Amy partnered with senior leaders from various divisions to help align their people strategy with the business strategy while supporting growth, performance, employee engagement and future objectives.
Amy has expertise in communication, employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, talent management, employee engagement and learning and development.
Amy holds a Human Resources Studies certification from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University.

Prior to Berger HR Solutions, Olivia worked in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources for more than
30 years in a variety of industries including residential property management, healthcare, higher
education, and staffing and search. As a Talent Acquisition Manager, Olivia partnered with hiring
managers and clients to source, assess, interview, onboard, develop, reward, and retain quality
employees, enabling employers to meet organizational goals.
Olivia has expertise in full life cycle recruitment, onboarding, training, talent development, employee
engagement and performance management.
Olivia is a certified HR professional, having earned the CP and PHR designations from the Society for
Human Resources Professionals and the HR Certification Institute.
